“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”
James 1:12 NLT
Have you ever imagined the crown of life that God has promised us?
In the midst of life's monotony, challenges, and troubles, we often forget that this phase will eventually pass, and we will be transformed into the likeness of Christ. We tend to overlook the promise that there will be no more death, pain, or tears; all that has happened will be wiped away. As stated in Revelation 21:5, "Look, I am making all things new!" The one seated on the throne urged me to write this down, for what He is saying is true and trustworthy. Everything will be renewed, and our garments will shine with the glory of God. We will be liberated from sin, adorned with beauty, and crowned with eternal life. Hallelujah! 🙌
The book of James 1:12 presents a wonderful promise for the church of Jesus Christ: God blesses those who patiently withstand trials and temptations. After overcoming these challenges, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. When we remain obedient and steadfast in facing life's afflictions, God assures us of His blessings. Our perseverance through temptations and trials in this fallen world is not in vain; it holds great significance! Our faithfulness will be rewarded, and we will be crowned for eternity. Most importantly, our crown will be incorruptible, pure, and perfect. While others strive for a perishable crown, we aspire for an everlasting one, as stated in 1 Corinthians 9:25.
Apostle Paul. Paul was confident that his earthly work would be rewarded. Like all the apostles, he faced immense suffering for the gospel; he encountered life-threatening situations, was beaten, scorned, imprisoned, and more. Yet, he experienced the Lord's grace continually throughout these challenges. He understood that triumphing over trials and temptations would lead to a far greater glory. As he neared the end of his earthly journey, he expressed these words: "Finally, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that Day; and not to me only, but also to all who have loved his appearing." - 2 Timothy 4:8.
For many, this may seem like a game, a fantasy, or even a lie. They call us crazy for sharing this message, but for us, it is our reality and the truth. One day, everything will come to an end, and we will be adorned with glory and honor, by the Grace of our Lord Jesus. It is important to note a warning: "Behold, I am coming soon; hold on to what you have, so that no one may take your crown." (Revelation 3:11). We have an adversary who seeks to prevent us from achieving our goal and receiving our crown. He will place obstacles in our way to make us lose faith and forget that our redemption is near. Doubt, discouragement, and despair will be his tools to lead us astray. Therefore, cling to what you possess and continue to fight the good fight of faith. Do not give in, for the end is drawing near.
Christ is returning soon, and when He comes, we will receive a crown that has been uniquely crafted for each of us. So, dear and sisters who are reading this brief message, remember that there is a crown waiting for you, designed long before the foundation of the world. Don’t let anything in this life distract you from your vision of eternity with Christ. Instead, raise your head every day, look towards heaven, and proclaim the word of God: "My redemption is near." Soon, I will meet my King face to face, and I am on the verge of entering my new home, the heavenly city, where I will be crowned with an incorruptible crown and adorned with everlasting glory. Forever and ever. Amen!!
