Trust God Even When It Doesn't Make Sense
Life is full of times when circumstances don’t seem to make sense. In these times of confusion and uncertainty, trusting God can be challenging, but it is also a source of strength and peace. Below, we’ll explore why and how we can keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, fully trusting in his sovereignty and wisdom even when circumstances don’t make sense or are very painful.
Faith, by its nature, involves belief in something we can’t always see or fully understand. Hebrews 11:1 describes faith as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” This means that despite confusing circumstances, we can be certain that God is at work in ways we may not understand at the time. Even in the silence, we can hold on to the conviction that our God is at work. Even when grief overwhelms us and all we can do is cry, we can be assured that God is still at work.
It's true, it's not easy. God understands that trusting fully is not easy for us. We are imperfect human beings and we still live in a world full of sin, weaknesses, and situations that make it difficult for us to fully submit and trust in Him. However, this is not impossible. We have the Holy Spirit who dwells within us; the living God resides within us. He fills us with grace, courage, and conviction to believe and stand firm in God's eternal promises, even when nothing seems to make sense.
Trusting God is based on His character and promises. Throughout the Bible, God reveals Himself as faithful, loving, and just. This is an attribute we must constantly remember: GOD IS FAITHFUL. His faithfulness will never, ever, ever fail. Once again, His faithfulness will never fail. Dear friends and sisters, the One who watches over you does not sleep. Our God has His gaze fixed on you at all times. HALLELUJAH! God sees you, God knows your situation, and He has orchestrated everything so that you can experience His glory, and so that everyone recognizes that He is the miracle worker. Trust, trust; your God is working in extraordinary ways.
Rest in Jesus, the One who gave everything for you and me on the cross, who was faithful and loved you even unto death. Jesus is our rest, our source of faith and help. My sister, even though I don’t know what you are going through, I can assure you that the Creator of heaven and earth, who sustains the universe and all that exists and has the power over life and death, the One who has named the stars. The only God, the true God! He sees you, He knows, He will work and He will bring you to the other side and sustain you into eternity. Praise our Lord, God, Savior and King Jesus!
